Accuracy.

The minilab H3 breathalyzer use the same type of fuel cell sensor as Irish garda and police forces around the world, and has a breath flow sampling feature which ensures just the right breath sample is taken each time.

Fuel cell technology provide higher accuracy and precision over a wider range of BAC levels. This makes them more reliable for accurate BAC measurements, especially at higher alcohol concentrations. Semiconductor devices have limitations in accuracy, particularly at higher BAC levels, and they can also be affected by environmental factors such as humidity and temperature, potentially leading to less precise readings. Unlike Semi-conductor units Fuel cell breathalyzers are alcohol specific meaning they will only react to alcohol. Semiconductor breathalyzers can even react to bad breath giving a false reading

Breath flow capture: The minilab H3 is designed to ensure a deep air lung sample each time to avoid underestimating your result. If a sufficient sample is not obtained the user is prompted to take the test again.

Color Alerts & Results to 3 decimal places.

The minilab H3 breathalyzer will display your result to 3 decimal places in detail as well as incorporating a color coded alert system .The warning light and LCD screen will flash at different warning levels relevant to the Irish drink driving limits as follows :

As standard our devices read in %BAC i.e. 0.05% - we prefer this unit of measurement for simplicity. You may come across different units of measurement in the media ,Irish government literature ,The Road Safety Authority website or indeed in another country. The minilab H3 breathalyzer has the ability for the user to change the unit of measurement to suit your requirements. For example here are the legal limits to drive in different units of measurement in Ireland :

An experienced licensed driver

- 22µg of alcohol per 100ml of breath.

- 0.05% BAC ( Blood Alcohol Content)

- The above translates to  50 milligrams of alcohol per 100ml of blood.

A Professional or Learner Driver

- 9µg of alcohol per 100ml of breath.

- 0.02% BAC ( Blood Alcohol Content)

- The above translates to 20 milligrams of alcohol per 100ml of blood.

Rechargeable.

This breathalyzer is fully rechargeable with the new version Android phone charger type ( cable included, plug not included).This device has a built -in large -capacity lithium battery, which can provide you with a standby time for up to one month after full charging. This device uses the USB Type-C standard charging interface, or you can use the national standard Type-C 5V charging ornament or charger to charge but charging with inferior charging adapter may cause product failure and damage. The minilab h3 breathalyzer has a battery indicator on screen at all times.

Service & Calibration

Fully serviced and calibrated in Ireland with a turnaround of 1 business day. Including shipping normally within 3 business days door to door. A last calibration record is kept permanently on your device. Requires calibration every 200 uses or every 6 – 12 months. Memory.

The minilab H3 breathalyzer has a 200 test memory as well as a last calibration log for your reference. Its a good idea to log your drinks and food consumed and match up with your result this will educate you on how your body reacts in different situations.

1 year warranty

We offer a 1 year repair or replace warranty to cover any device defects. This warranty activated automatically on the day of purchase and any device faults. The warranty does not include accidental damage or sensor damage due to usage beyond 200 tests or blowing raw alcohol on the sensor. The warranty service Is fully carried out in Ireland and does not include inbound shipping.
